Privacy Policy
Effective 29 September 2026
Who we are
Keezy is operated by Winetic Solutions Inc. (“Keezy,” “we,” “us”). For anything in this policy, including a request about your personal data, contact hello@keezy.rentals.
What we collect today
The only live feature on keezy.rentals is the waitlist. Joining it collects: the email address you enter, and an internal tag noting which part of the page you signed up from (this never leaves our database and is used only to understand which parts of this page people respond to). We don’t currently run any analytics or tracking script on this page beyond what our hosting provider, Vercel, logs automatically for any web request (IP address, request timestamp) — standard infrastructure logging, not a separate tracking tool.
What we’ll collect once the marketplace opens
These categories don’t exist yet, and this section is here so you can see what you’re agreeing to before that day, not after.
- Account: email, a password (stored as a salted hash — we never see or store your actual password), first and last name, and optionally a phone number and a profile photo.
- Listings, if you list a property or vehicle: the address, pricing, and property/vehicle details you enter, and any photos or videos you upload.
- Booking requests: the dates you request, a message to the owner, the price quoted, and your tick against each requirement the owner has disclosed (see “attested, not verified” below — we record that you attested to a requirement, not proof that it’s true).
- Rental agreements and e-signatures: the frozen text of the agreement itself, a typed name, a drawn signature image, and — specifically because this is what gives the signature evidentiary weight — the IP address and browser identifier your device used at the moment you signed. This is more than we collect elsewhere on purpose: it’s the record that ties a specific signature to a specific person at a specific time.
- Calendar sync, if you use it: the iCal feed URLs you choose to add to keep a listing’s availability in sync with other platforms.
Cookies
A signed-in session uses one necessary cookie (via Auth.js) to keep you signed in — not for tracking or advertising. While the site is in its pre-launch gate, a second cookie remembers that a tester or team member has bypassed the waitlist gate. Neither cookie is used for analytics, and we don’t run any advertising or cross-site tracking cookie at this time.
How we use it
To run the marketplace: match renters with listings, send the transactional emails a booking or account action requires (via Resend — verification links, booking updates, agreement notifications), and generate and store rental agreements. We send exactly one waitlist email: the notice that Keezy has opened. We don’t send marketing email beyond that without a separate, clearly-labelled opt-in.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t share it for advertising. Three kinds of sharing happen:
- Service providers who process it on our behalf: Neon (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting and file storage for photos/signatures), Resend (transactional email delivery), and — only on a listing detail page that has a map — Google, whose Maps Embed loads directly in your browser and is subject to Google’s own privacy policy, not ours.
- The other party to a booking: once a booking request exists, the owner and renter necessarily see enough of each other’s information (name, contact, the signed agreement) to actually complete the rental — that’s the point of the platform, not incidental sharing.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Keezy, our users, or the public.
Where your data is stored
Our database and hosting infrastructure run on servers located in the United States (Neon and Vercel’s US regions), not in Jamaica. If you’re in Jamaica, this means your personal data is transferred outside the country as a normal part of how the service works — see the Jamaica Data Protection Act note below for what that means for your rights.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is active. Rental agreements and their signatures are kept longer, since their whole purpose is to serve as evidence of what was agreed if a dispute arises later — we don’t auto-delete them on a fixed schedule. If you ask us to delete your data, we will, except where we need to keep something to meet a legal obligation or resolve an active dispute.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you by emailing hello@keezy.rentals. We’ll respond directly — we don’t yet have a fully documented, legally-reviewed process for every kind of request (see below), but we won’t leave a genuine request unanswered while that review is pending.
Jamaica Data Protection Act
Keezy is based in, and built for, Jamaica, and the Jamaica Data Protection Act, 2020 (JDPA) applies to how we handle personal data. This policy has not yet been reviewed by a Jamaican attorney, including whether Keezy currently triggers a data controller registration obligation under the JDPA. We’re publishing this policy in good faith, ahead of that formal review, because we’d rather tell you what we actually do now than wait until every clause is lawyer-perfect. We’ll update this page, with a new effective date, once that review is complete.
Children
Keezy is not directed at, and is not intended to be used by, anyone under 18. Renting a property or vehicle requires the legal capacity to enter a contract.
Changes to this policy
We’ll post any change here with an updated effective date. If a change materially affects how we use the email address you gave us on the waitlist, we’ll email you about it directly.
