What Keezy is

Keezy is a marketplace connecting property and vehicle owners in Jamaica with people who want to rent from them. We provide the platform — listings, booking requests, and a signed rental agreement for each booking. We are not a party to any rental agreement between an owner and a renter, we don’t verify anyone’s identity or documents, and we don’t process, hold, or guarantee any payment.

Accounts

There is one account type — any account can both list and book. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract to create one. You’re responsible for keeping your account secure and for the accuracy of the information on it.

Listings

If you list a property or vehicle, you’re confirming you have the legal right to rent it out, and that what you disclose — description, pricing, requirements — is accurate. Keezy does not inspect listings or verify ownership before they go live.

Booking requests

Every booking on Keezy is request-to-book, never instant-book. An owner reviews and personally decides on each request. The price shown at request time is a quote based on the listing’s stated rate — it isn’t a payment, and it isn’t owed to anyone until the parties settle it between themselves.

Requirements are attested, not verified

An owner can ask renters to meet certain requirements (minimum age, no pets, and similar). Keezy has no identity-verification system, so when you request a booking, you’re self-attesting that each disclosed requirement is true — we record that attestation with a timestamp, but we don’t independently confirm it. Misrepresenting an attestation is a violation of these terms and may be a matter between you and the other party under your signed agreement.

Rental agreements and e-signature

Once an owner approves a request, Keezy generates a rental agreement from a fixed template and both parties sign it electronically — a typed name plus a drawn signature, with the signing device’s IP address and browser identifier recorded alongside it as evidence of who signed and when. This is a lightweight, in-house e-signature: evidence that an agreement was reached, not a notarised or witnessed signature, and not backed by a third-party e-signature vendor.

Payment

Keezy does not process payments. However an owner and renter agree to handle payment is between the two of them, off-platform. We don’t mediate payment disputes, and we don’t guarantee that either party will pay or perform as agreed.

Fees

Keezy does not currently charge a fee to list, browse, or book on the platform. If that changes, we’ll update these terms and give notice before any fee applies to you.

Cancellations

Cancellation terms are whatever the owner and renter agree to in their signed rental agreement. Keezy doesn’t set a platform-wide cancellation policy and doesn’t issue, hold, or mediate refunds.

Prohibited conduct

• Listing a property or vehicle you don’t have the right to rent out.
• Setting a requirement to exclude people on a discriminatory basis rather than a genuine, disclosed rental condition.
• Making a false attestation on a booking request.
• Attempting to circumvent the platform to avoid these terms, such as arranging a booking off-platform to skip the agreement step.
• Harassment, fraud, or any other use that isn’t what a good-faith renter or owner would do.

Content you provide

You keep ownership of the photos, descriptions, and other content you upload. By posting it on Keezy, you give us the license we need to display it on the platform for that purpose.

No warranty

Keezy is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee that any listing is accurate, that any owner or renter will honour an agreement, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Keezy isn’t liable for disputes between an owner and a renter, or for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, including a false attestation, a discriminatory requirement, or fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Any dispute with Keezy itself (not between an owner and a renter, which is governed by their own signed agreement) should first be raised with us directly at hello@keezy.rentals so we can try to resolve it informally.

Changes to these terms

We’ll post any change here with an updated effective date. Continuing to use Keezy after a change means you accept the updated terms.
